The Reggie Backband - Ratchet-Style Band for Firm Back Support is Immersion Research's foundational ratchet-style back band. The key feature is IR's patented, no-slip ratchet technology, adapted from snowboard binding ratchets. What you get is powerfully firm back support from a back band which swivels to move with your back. A soft, abrasion-resistant neoprene layer covers a cushioning foam insert on top of a stainless steel core. All the hardware is salt water resistant. Designed for easy installation and comfort. For 'forward-adjust' kayaks, there is also another version: the Reggie Forward-Adjust Backband.
Installation: The Reggie ratchet-style back band is relatively easy to install but requires a different type of installation from other types of back bands. Depending upon what type of kayak cockpit rim you have, you may need to watch one or the other of the following videos for guidance on how to install this product.
