The SNAP-IN CENTER CANOE SEAT from Old Town snugly snaps over vinyl gunwales and stays in place until you pop it out. This seat fits in the middle of all Old Town Canoes with widths of 34" to 37". The rugged design can hold an adult or two children and carries up to 300 lbs. Consider a snap-in seat, oar sockets and oarlocks and you have a rowing canoe. The catch on either side is 2" wide, so if there is curvature in your canoe's gunwale, measure the 12" long area where it will be sitting and be sure that the curvature does not mean that the total width that the catch will be covering is (much more than) 2" wide.
